PhD students Caroline Rapp and Derek Garfield present studies on how systemic factors and landowner perspectives affect the use of poplar and hybrid aspen.

Derek Garfield, PhD student at SLU and within Trees For Me, will provide a brief introduction from a historical perspective, discussing previous studies on this subject.

About Derek Garfield's research project "System innovations for fast growing broadleaves in Sweden".

Caroline Rapp, PhD student at Umeå University and within Trees For Me, will present the results of a survey study of private forest owners conducted within her project that illuminates the role of place in shaping forest owners’ intention to plant hybrid aspen and poplar.
