Webinar: Why are decidious trees in riparian areas good for water quality?

5/23/2025

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Online

Professor Hjalmar Laudon, SLU, presents the role of deciduous trees and how it stimulates the quality and life in and around streams and lakes.

The focus of the webinar will be on nutrients and dissolved organic carbon and how these in turn affect downstream waters.

Hjalmar Laudon is professor and chair of forest landscape biogeochemistry at SLU Umeå. His research is primarily focused on how natural and human-induced processes affect water availability, recharge, runoff processes and water quality at a landscape scale.
