Webinar: Why does not the birch flower as expected?

8/18/2023

Online

Birch has been considered to flower abundantly and repeatedly for years. A closer look at the flowering at single tree level in different site conditions reveals that the birch flowering might be as complex as the one in Swedish coniferous species.

The seminar will present results from observations in seed orchards and experimental trials.

The presentation is held by Mateusz Liziniewicz, researcher in tree breeding at Skogforsk (the Forestry Research Institute of Sweden) and within Trees For Me.
