About me
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management, specializing in tropical ecosystems. Afterwards, I expanded my expertise through an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree (SUFONAMA) at the University of Copenhagen and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
My master's thesis explored management alternatives for birch and Norway spruce mixtures in southern Sweden using simulation models. Additionally, I worked as a research assistant during the summer of 2022 before commencing my current PhD programme at SLU, Alnarp.
About my research project
My PhD research focuses on advancing the silviculture of planted birch. The project examines competition dynamics in mixed stands of birch and spruce and evaluates effective thinning strategies for birch monocultures. We aim to provide accurate growth models, including height development and biomass functions for planted birch.
