2024 IUFRO World Congress

6/23/2024 – 6/29/2024

Stockholm

Trees For Me's PhD students and researchers will participate in the world's largest congress for research and development with a focus on the forest. The IUFRO World Congress takes place every five years, and on 23-29 June, SLU is one of the hosts for the congress, this year held in Stockholm.

At the congress, researchers, decision-makers, the industry, authorities, NGOs and stakeholders meet to exchange knowledge and set the agenda for global forest research for the next five years.

IUFRO, International Union of Forest Research Organisations, is an international, independent organisation for researchers and stakeholders in forest, climate and environment. IUFRO brings together 700 member organisations and 15 000 researchers in 123 countries.

Excursions with our researchers

Trees For Me's vice director and researcher Magnus Karlberg, Luleå University of Technology, co-hosts the field trip "Forest-industry integration and logistics" which focuses on advanced technology for planning, logging, transportation and forest industry production.

Magnus will contribute with input from the research project on "Autonomous broadleaf regeneration".
