The webinar will show the status of the conventional breeding programme for birch and actions needed to jump into genomic selection/speed breeding.
A progress in development of genomic methods and tools will be presented. Crucial issues concerning early flowering and flowering induction will be described in relation to the current knowledge and knowledge gaps.
The work package project leader Mateusz Liziniewicz and PhD students Maria del Pilar Herrera Egoavil and Giovanni Bozza will present.
