Clearcut age experiment of birch

In this project we will install a field-experiment where effects and interactions of clear-cut age, site-preparation, seedling-type, planting date and fertilization at planting will be tested.

The experiments will be located from Halland in the south to Västerbotten in the north and are placed on the experimental stations Tönnersjöheden, Asa, Siljansfors and Vindeln. In these four experiments, five clear-cut areas will be marked in the autumn of 2022. One area will be clear-cut each year for the next coming five years. Planting will be done on every clear-cut every year within experimental plots including the above mentioned treatments.
